GWK’s total profit is endowed to shareholders in two components.
Rebates Interest
R10 of each R100 is paid out in cash. R89 of each R100 is capitalized for our shareholders over a period of 15 years. R1 of the R100 is a preference share which determines the shareholder’s voting rights.
Interest
Funds of existing shareholders earn interest equal to inflation. 10% of this is paid out in cash and 90% is capitalized over a period of 15 years.
Our shareholders’ initial investment of R690 000 has grown to R753 million over a period of 15 years.
For an initial investment of R200, a farmer becomes part of GWK’s DNA. GWK is fully owned by farmers.
Subsidiaries declare a dividend to GWK, which is included in GWK’s profit.
